WORKSHOPSLive Action Set offers workshops for people of varying interests, abilities and backgrounds from professionals to students and people within and without the theatre community. Open workshops are aimed at professional performers (movers/dancers, actors), leaders of performance (directors, choreographers) and students of performance however anyone can participate. Live Action Set associate collaborators/performers teach a range of workshops on the physical preparation of the mind and body, on ensemble-based creative process, methods for effective collaboration, and improvisation. Our workshops inform and reflect the artistic program and are integral to the development of the Company. Participating in a workshop can offer insight into LAS’s working process. Please join our workshop list to keep informed of future workshops.
BookingLive Action Set associate collaborators/performers can be booked for a variety of workshops, lecture demonstrations and presentations. We can coordinate presentations and demonstrations to large numbers, but smaller more intimate workshops are of the most benefit to the participants, approx 15 - 20 people. Please bear in mind that most Live Action Set workshops are physical therefore less suitable for participants who are restricted in movement, whatever their level of experience – however we always adapt around disabilities and can tailor instruction where required. Additionally, whatever the age of participants, it is important that all participants for a particular workshop are of a similar level of experience, so that the workshop can be pitched to suit all. If you have any questions or are interested in booking a Live Action Set associate performer/teacher for a workshop or presentation please send an e-mail to our education coordinator via our Contact page. |
